As a side note, It appears that the makefile does not actually work, so that should probably be sorted out at some point....

The Makefile is for running on pip, which pulls in various local files like the MOTD and member stats -- working ok here:

We could perhaps parametise the paths used by these scripts so they can be stubbed out when running off of SRCF servers, but the site as a whole does also make some assumptions about the webserver that may not behave standalone.
